Soil samples would be taken under various conditions to ensure a robust comparison, enabling a clear assessment of the sensors’ accuracy across different environments.

The soil sensor validation service offers customers clear data on sensor accuracy in various conditions, moving from reliance on general claims to specific, tested performance insights, enabling more confident and optimised deployment in the AI platform.

The service will be carried out in fields chosen by the customer or at a suitable research location. Soil samples will be taken under different moisture conditions, which may require timing around seasons or irrigation cycles, and the process will take a few weeks to complete. The customer needs to provide access to the fields and any relevant data, such as past moisture measurements. At the end, they will receive a detailed report on the sensor’s accuracy and performance under the tested conditions.

The service can be customised to meet specific customer needs, such as adapting sampling frequency or targeting particular soil conditions and environments.
