Laboratory for lifespan of materials and systems

LNE can help you design your new products and assess their reliability, service life, and behaviour over time. After identifying lifetime criteria, influencing factors, and their acceleration paths, a mission profile is defined.

Description

The laboratory offers a wide range of ageing simulations, including thermal, mechanical, chemical, and climatic stresses, to replicate real-life or extreme use conditions. These tests are designed to evaluate material durability, detect failure mechanisms, and support predictive maintenance strategies. Our infrastructure supports both standardised testing protocols and tailor-made test campaigns, adapted to specific use cases or industrial environments. Thanks to advanced monitoring and data acquisition systems, the laboratory provides high-resolution measurements, supports digital modelling of degradation, and contributes to life cycle assessments (LCA). This testing environment is particularly relevant for sectors such as agriculture, aerospace, medical devices, or IoT-based systems, where long-term performance and compliance are critical.
