EXTERNAL EVENTS
Pursuing sustainability in food systems through AI innovation

An Event organised by ELSA Lab for Sustainable Food Systems

Attend the annual ELSA event on December 2nd at Wageningen University & Research's Omnia Building (Hoge Steeg 2, 6708 PH Wageningen) with the ELSA Lab AI for Sustainable Food Systems (AI4SFS), a partner of agrifoodTEF. With a heavy emphasis on ethical, social, and legal aspects in AI development, this event provides a forum for investigating innovative AI applications in agri-food. The ELSA Lab encourages responsible AI innovation by detecting dangers early on, assisting developers in producing safer and more efficient AI solutions. The Lab has also been in focus during the Synergy Days 2024 by offering a Workshop on the ethical, legal, and social aspects of using data, to ensure that all data practices respect user privacy and adhere to essential ethical and legal standards.

How can AI drive sustainable practices while also achieving business goals?

In order to share ideas, insights, and experiences regarding artificial intelligence in the agri-food industry, the event brings together supply chain partners, researchers, policymakers, and producers of hardware and software. Discussions about issues like "How can AI drive sustainable practices while also achieving business goals?" are encouraged by this year's focus on striking a balance between sustainability and business objectives. The event is hosted by our Consortium Partner Wageningen University, which is open to anybody interested in AI and sustainable food systems, including farmers, industry representatives, researchers, technology developers, and regulators. The Wageningen University marks a sole hub for anything agri-food related. They use their network of partners and services as a Digital Innovation Hub to help Entrepreneurs, startups, and companies realise their ideas.
The programme is subject to change, and the event is conducted in English.
