agrifoodTEF showcases AI and Robotics Innovations in agrifood at the Synergy Days

From 13 to 15 October 2024, the agrifoodTEF team hosted three workshops at the Synergy Days event, highlighting advancements in AI and robotics for the agrifood sector. Across two days, agrifoodTEF provided innovative insights into its pioneering work supporting SMEs, fostering digital skill development, and prioritising ethical data use.
Validation Services for SMEs leveraging AI and Robotics in the agrifood sector
The first workshop showcased practical examples of agrifoodTEF’s validation services for SMEs, where partners demonstrated the innovative digital solutions they have developed. A highlight was given by the CEO of Microfy.AI, who shared how her company is integrating agrifoodTEF’s services into their software and the positive impact it is having. Her presentation inspired other SMEs to consider leveraging agrifoodTEF’s offerings to enhance their solutions.
How can agrifoodTEF help EDIHs support SMEs?
In the second workshop, co-organised with the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), agrifoodTEF explored ways to create accessible training materials for industries and farmers interested in adopting digital agritech solutions. The session identified specific topics and content formats needed for new training materials, set to be available soon on the agrifoodTEF Training Platform.
Assessing Ethical, Legal and Social Aspects (ELSA) of digital technologies
The final workshop, held in collaboration with Data4Food2030, addressed the Ethical, Legal, and Social Aspects (ELSA) of using data. As agrifoodTEF’s services involve extensive data handling, this session focused on ensuring that all data practices respect user privacy and adhere to essential ethical and legal standards.
