This comprehensive campus includes specialised facilities essential for research and development. Notable infrastructure includes the Departments of Animal Science, Food Technology and Horticulture, Botany and Gardening, and Environment and Soil Sciences, as well as a pilot plant dedicated to food technology and the Agrotecnio Centre, focusing on agricultural technology research. ETSEAFIV is also equipped with a range of advanced labs. The Sensory Physical Chemical Analysis Lab evaluates food quality attributes, and the Microbiological Quality Lab focuses on food safety. The Soil Water Plant Organic Lab supports environmental and agricultural research. The Plant Genomics Lab is dedicated to genetic research aimed at enhancing crop development, while the Precision Agriculture Lab integrates advanced technologies into farming practices. With around 200 faculty members and 1,500 students, ETSEAFIV is a pivotal centre for innovation, playing a significant role in the goals of the AgriFoodTEF project.
