Pech rouge experimental vineyard

The IFV unit of Pech Rouge has been in collaboration with INRAE (UE Pech Rouge, UMR SPO) and the Institut Agro Montpellier for more than 15 years. This unit has been working since 2017 on the development of reliable tools and methods for small-volume winemaking for the purposes of high-throughput viticultural experiments.

Description

The Pech Rouge wine estate (INRAE) is located in the commune of Gruissan, near Narbonne (11). It covers 163 hectares, between the Clape massif and the Mediterranean coast. It consists of a vineyard of about thirty hectares, winemaking platforms and an analysis laboratory. It is particularly suitable for the study of water stress management in the Mediterranean region.
