Catalogue of Infrastructures and Facilities

PSNC has a network of 20 units of phenological stations, consisting of a PTZ camera with 40x optical zoom and a GSM router. These stations are used to observe phenological phenomena and monitor the occurrence of pests and plant diseases. They are located throughout Poland. Additionally, PSNC is the owner of data transmitted from a network of 550 agrometeorological stations. These stations are precise tools for conducting continuous meteorological measurements. Each station is equipped with a set of sensors that measure air temperature and humidity, rainfall, and wind direction and speed. Data from the station is sent via GSM transmission and is available to the user via a web browser.

Supercomputing infrastructure

PSNC provides the scientific community with access to world-class IT infrastructure. As the operator of the national PIONIER network, we provide fast and secure access to the Internet and network services at the international, national, and local levels. As a supercomputing centre, we offer a wide range of computing services and access to virtual servers and cloud services while allowing for fast and scalable data management.

5G network research laboratory

Private 5G networks compliant with the 3800-4200 MHz frequency management. The equipment also includes a system (Amarisoft 5G system) that allows you to launch your own 5G network anywhere and test communication.

CBPIO

PSNC (Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre) provides access to a world-class e-infrastructure for the scientific community, a specific research and development environment. PSNC implements a number of research and development works aimed at developing and implementing dedicated platforms for data exchange, services, and applications for innovative agriculture. The Polish Optical Internet Research Centre (CBPIO) is the headquarters of PSNC. The supercomputer and server infrastructure are located here, as well as most of the laboratories and equipment.

Aerosfera Digital Airport

At the Kąkolewo airport, located in the commune of Grodzisk Wielkopolski (58 km from the centre of Poznań), the construction of the "Aerosfera Digital Airport" laboratories was carried out, with the focus on research and development work in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous systems, and flight control, as well as the 5G network (masts and installations on the hangar roof). The main hangar has a 10 m high manoeuvring space. Hangar is an empty area with dimensions of 20x20 m, allowing movements or flights of unmanned vehicles for control and research purposes in controlled internal conditions. In the hangar there are observation rooms, warehouses, and open-space office and laboratory rooms.
