Synergy Days 2025
The conference connecting the agri-food environment takes place in Rotterdam this year!
The Synergy Days is one of the most important conference connecting the digital innovators of the European agri-food sector.
Building onto the legacy of the SmartAgriHubs project, for 4 years in a row, the event offers a space for our community to meet, debate and exchange knowledge. The event connects the dots in the agri-food sector by bringing together EU projects, policy-makers, European and Digital Innovations Hubs, farmers and more.
This year's edition will take place in De Doelen, Rotterdam, on the 21st and 22nd of October.

Following our participation of last year, the agrifoodTEF team is pleased to be present at the 2025 edition of the Synergy Days.
This year, the team joins the Synergy Days as a participating project, with a booth in the exhibition area - join us for two days packed with discussions, workshops, and cross-sector collaboration & networking!

- 11:15-12:45 | Data spaces as fuel for agri-food AI development: Ethical, legal, and social aspects
This workshop will delve into the ethical, legal, and social implications of data spaces and AI in the agri-food sector. Discussions will focus on fair compensation for data providers, preventing power asymmetries, and ensuring equitable benefit from AI model training using data spaces.

- 11:15-12:45 | Value proposition of data sharing
This workshop will address the challenges of data sharing, including lack of trust, unclear value propositions, and regulatory uncertainty. Participants will discuss how to align incentives, reduce friction, and leverage the EU Data Act, as well as the role of stakeholders in addressing these concerns.

- 16:00 - 17:30 | How to cross the valley of death in agrifood AI and robotics?
This workshop will explore strategies for converting new AI and robotics technologies into market-ready products in the agri-food sector, addressing the challenges of high investment costs and risks associated with higher Technology and Market Readiness Levels.

This workshop will present the context of Data Spaces and lead a debate on the role of EDIHs and TEFs in promoting and supporting SMEs and farmers to leverage their data and create value in a secure and sustainable way.
