How it works
Users contact the agrifoodTEF French Node to present their AI or robotics solution and testing needs. An initial discussion clarifies objectives, maturity levels, and regulatory constraints, and identifies the most suitable resources within the agrifoodTEF Node. A tailored service request is then defined, including relevant facilities, datasets, and expertise.
Following formal contractualisation, the service is performed; for example, testing and experimentation are conducted in real, controlled, or simulated agricultural environments. Results are analysed and documented to evaluate performance, robustness, and compliance. Finally, users receive a report and recommendations to support market readiness.

Who we are and what we do
The agrifoodTEF French Node is a consortium of eight partners coordinated by the Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais (LNE), which intervenes transversally in the evaluation of AI. The Node brings together research institutes INRAE, Inria, and LNE, as well as leading agricultural institutes coordinated by ACTA, including ARVALIS (crops), IDELE (livestock), and IFV (viticulture), with the support of the Chambre d’agriculture Pays de la Loire.
The Node provides access to scientific expertise, experimental farms, and testing infrastructures across France. It supports the testing, validation, and evaluation of AI and robotics solutions for agriculture. Within the agrifoodTEF network, it contributes to harmonised methodologies and cross-border experimentation.
