Overview

Our service offers comprehensive field trials to test the performance of your AI-based weeding system. Before the system operates, we record essential environmental data such as soil conditions and weather. We assess the crops and weeds either manually or with automated tools, and re-evaluate them post-weeding to measure the system's effectiveness. Our trials can be conducted on fields provided by us or at external locations of your choosing. This testing gives you clear, objective insights into your system’s performance and helps identify any potential issues under real-world conditions.

This testing gives you clear, objective insights into your weeding system’s performance and helps identify any potential issues under real-world conditions.


The test will be executed on a field at our institute in Austria. However, it is also possible to carry out a test at your premises. After the test, you will receive a report on weeding quality in terms of the number and coverage of weeds and crops before and after weeding. In addition, metadata on the field and weather are recorded. Seasonally, the Test is possible between April and June, in exceptional cases also until August.

The test can be customised at various levels. One of the main parameters are the crop, the number of repetitions and the locations of the test. The test is dependent on the weather conditions, which could lead to delays.
