Aquaculture and Hydrobiology

Description

The experimental fish plant, where it conducts experimental activities to test new generations of feeds, nutritional supplements, drugs, and vaccines for commercial varieties of freshwater fish (mainly rainbow trout). The 800-square-meter facility comprises a small hatchery and more than 100 fish tanks. Of those, 66 flow-through tanks (from 0.7 to 3.5 mc) are completely dedicated to the research in aquaculture, while 36 are optimised for nutrition tests on freshwater species.
