The Centre d'Estudis Porcins (CEP) in Torrelameu, Catalonia, is a key partner in the AgriFoodTEF project, focusing on advancing the pork production sector. Established through a consortium involving the Diputació de Lleida, the Consell Comarcal de la Noguera, the Ajuntament de Torrelameu, and the University of Lleida, CEP aims to enhance pork production through education, research, and technological transfer. The CEP-Torrelameu facility is equipped with technology to support various aspects of pig farming. It features precision feeding machines, environmental sensors, and camera systems that monitor and optimise conditions such as temperature, humidity, CO₂, and ammonia levels. This infrastructure supports activities including precision feeding, environmental monitoring, and data analysis, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for intensive livestock management. Additionally, the Centre offers specialised training programs, courses, and seminars on topics such as reproductive biotechnology and animal welfare. This infrastructure supports the AgriFoodTEF project by integrating real-world applications with cutting-edge research to advance sustainable agriculture practices.
