This comprehensive infrastructure supports a wide range of activities, focusing on technologies and sustainability within agriculture. Key facilities at Parc AgroBioTech include AGROTECNIO, a leading centre for agricultural technology innovation, and the Planta Piloto de Tecnología Alimentaria, which offers pilot-scale testing for food technology. The park is also home to FRUITCENTRE-IRTA, a specialised centre for fruit technology, and the Agroliving Lab, which provides practical environments for agricultural research and development. Additionally, the park features the Centro de Innovación Digital Agroalimentario y Forestal de Catalunya (CIDAF CAT) and BioHub Cat, pivotal for advancing digital agri-food technologies and bioeconomy initiatives. The infrastructure includes the Campus Agroalimentario, which houses AGROTECNIO and the Botanical Garden Arboretum, providing both research and educational opportunities in agriculture. The Gardeny Campus serves as the main hub, offering technological firms, advanced R&D services, and business incubators. Hispatec can design and deploy infrastructures ranging from simple solutions to complex, distributed architectures, ensuring that each project has the appropriate technological foundation to achieve its goals. Hispatec offers a wide range of technological infrastructure services tailored to the specific needs of each initiative:- Infrastructure on Microsoft Azure: As a Microsoft partner, Hispatec can deploy and manage infrastructures on Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage services, and managed databases. This enables leveraging services like Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, and Azure Functions, providing enterprise-level scalability and security. - Services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Hispatec also has experience deploying infrastructures on GCP, utilising resources such as Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage. This facilitates the implementation of cloud-native applications and the use of advanced analytics and machine learning services. - Traditional Architectures: For projects requiring more conventional environments, Hispatec can implement on-premise or cloud-based infrastructures using physical or virtual servers, configuring networks, storage systems, and backup and recovery solutions. - Containerised Environments: Hispatec uses technologies like Docker to create containerised environments, enabling more agile and consistent deployment of web applications. Food Processing Pilot Plant

Equipped with advanced systems for sustainable and intelligent food transformation, this fixed facility supports pilot-scale trials for food companies. It enables the testing and optimisation of food processing procedures, from ingredient preparation to packaging and labeling. The plant offers comprehensive solutions for ready-to-eat vegetables (IV Range), refrigerated ready meals (V Range), and restructured foods (VI Range), while also facilitating the study of storage, refrigeration, and shelf life.

Agro-innovation Centre De Marke

With the real-world setting, we are able to undertake research and validate results with many external farmers and partners involved to get the dairy farming to the next generation of data-driven stables and fields. We work on circular agriculture, nature-inclusive agriculture, climate-robust agriculture and precision agriculture.

De Marke (a Wageningen University & Research facility) is a dairy farm in Hengelo, Gelderland. De Marke produces approximately 800,000 kg of milk with 3.5% protein and 4.5% fat using 80 dairy cows. It is a 55 ha sandy soil area, with a combination of (permanent) grassland, maize and arable farming.

De Marke is visited by around 4,000 interested people every year. De Marke links policy, research and practice. Our role is to resolve limitations, examine attainability, and, particularly, communicate and demonstrate these areas openly and transparently. Operations are aimed at a low farm and soil surplus of nitrogen and phosphate for minimal pollution of soil, water and air. We have a long tradition in data collection on circular farming. Test fields are used to search for solutions for better soil quality, mineral utilisation and climate change.

Field Crops

The main office is located in Lelystad, a region of predominantly arable farming on clay soil. The Lelystad office has a farm with more than 800 hectares of farmland. Besides the location in Lelystad, we also have farms in Randwijk (fruit orchard), Valthermond, Vredepeel and Westmaas, covering all arable farming regions and soil types in the Netherlands.

Lelystad is a hub featuring all the best practices and techniques related to agronomy, ecology and technology. The farmland is used for the commercial production of crops for both organic and mainstream farming. Part of its farmland is used for field experiments and long-term experiments on innovative farm systems, like strip intercropping, agroforestry and agrivoltaics. Field Crops has the equipment, network of farmers and agribusiness, and expertise to test, validate and demonstrate (technical) solutions. Furthermore, our expertise in agronomy, ecology and technology can help you speed up the development of your innovation.

WUR Vision+Robotics lab

The Vision+Robotics programme combines our rich domain knowledge with technology: we bring together a diverse team of more than 40 experts in computer vision, robotics, AI, and spectral imaging from all corners of WUR. This unique synergy creates a powerhouse of tech-savvy researchers, united by a shared commitment to developing high-tech solutions that benefit both the planet and its inhabitants.

The WUR Vision+Robotics lab is used by WUR's Vision+Robotics researchers and offers lab space and a workshop where prototypes can be assembled and tested. Besides space and tools, the lab also has a collection of technical equipment, like cameras, robot arms, lidar, ultrasonic sensors, rugged computers and PLCs, which can be used. We experiment, test and validate solutions with domain-specific WUR facilities and at a network of frontrunner agtech-driven farms.
