In particular, the scope is to develop smart agriculture solutions, test LoRa sensors in particular for measuring soil moisture, and finally, through data training by AI algorithms, perform some prediction about soil moisture trends during the season and how to perform smart irrigation in order to save water and improve crop production and quality. The infrastructure is based on different soil moisture sensors, in particular tensiometers. Moreover, in the infrastructure there are also some electronic valves in order to control the irrigation of crops. Based on soil moisture sensors, controlled irrigation valves and AI algorithms, we are able to give the right water to crops (vineyards and apples) and in this way save water.
