Vantage Polska takes ISOBUS from Testing to Market

Overview

Vantage Polska develops and integrates precision agriculture systems, focusing on machine control automation and the use of sensor data. The company creates solutions enabling precise fertiliser dosing and automatic machine operation, including a proprietary system for manure spreaders and fertiliser spreaders, providing rate control and full integration with onboard terminals.


These systems leverage sensor data and control algorithms to optimise machine performance under variable field conditions, improving application accuracy and operational efficiency. To prepare the solution for market deployment, Vantage Polska required independent validation of its system, whose performance depends on the precision of device positioning.

The challenge

The company needed to conduct direct testing of localisation accuracy and overall system performance under challenging field and forestry conditions

A key objective was to verify robustness against GPS signal disruptions and to identify and implement the necessary technical improvements in this area.

The agrifoodTEF service

Vantage Polska used a bundle of three agrifoodTEF services: Test design, AI Integration and Test execution services.

The activities included defining a precise testing environment based on machine and field specifics. 

The team executed rigorous real-world field validation under realistic, long-term operating conditions to test system functionality, structural durability, and algorithmic responses to signal disruptions. 

The agrifoodTEF team designed the evaluation environment and analysed field data to optimise control algorithms. They assisted with integrating updated software into physical controllers, verifying compatibility, and provided comprehensive documentation with detailed analytical reports and future development recommendations. 

It resulted in: 

-    Increase of the accuracy of the dosing system by 15%,
-    Reduction of the response time of the control systems to an input disturbance from 300 ms to 50 ms,
-    Reduction of the system’s erroneous responses to faulty sensor readings by 20%.

The positive impact on the ISOBUS testing process was so significant that the company has already requested validation and testing for its next products
